Cookies

This site does not set cookies. There is no cookie banner because there are no cookies to accept or refuse.

Visit counts

Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits. A script is loaded from static.cloudflareinsights.com and sends a visit measurement to cloudflareinsights.com. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts those visits anonymously and without cookies. It does not use a cookie to recognise you on a later visit.

The measurement is a page count. It is not an account, and this site does not receive your name or email address from it. The script on this preview includes a placeholder token, REPLACE_TOKEN, until a real Cloudflare Web Analytics token is added for the domain. Until that happens, visits may not be recorded.

Settings stored in this browser

If you change the metronome, those choices are stored in this browser’s local storage under the key onlinemetronome.settings. They stay on the device. They are not sent to us as an account. The site has no accounts and no sign-in.

When storage is available, the saved settings are the tempo and beat unit, time signature, subdivision, accent pattern, volume, mute, click sound, whether the visual beat indicator is on, and the tempo trainer inputs (starting tempo, target tempo, step, interval and whether that interval is bars or seconds).

Tap times are calculated in the page and are not uploaded. The site does not use the microphone and does not save a recording. Playback is not saved, and opening the site does not start the click.

If the browser blocks storage, the metronome still plays and the page can say “Settings could not be saved. You can keep practising.” If a saved value is not one this version can use, the page substitutes a supported setting and can say “Saved setting unavailable. Using a supported setting.”

To remove saved settings, open the metronome, open Advanced, and choose Reset settings. You can also clear site data for onlinemetronome.co in your browser. That removes onlinemetronome.settings.
